Induction Training Portfolio

Smorgon Steel produces steel rod and bar from scrap metal. Three induction courses were required. The Visitor and Contractor inductions were created using extracts from the Employee Induction. Photos, diagrams, video and animation provided visual examples of the potential hazards on site. Questions tested understanding of key points. Hosted on their Intranet, results are recorded in a training database. DVD output allows for large groups of people to be inducted in the training room all at once. Parts of this induction will also be reused in other Smorgon site inductions.
